Review: I don't know what I was expecting with this Old West finish, but I didn't expect it to look like it does. Next trip to the grocery store and a gallon of vinegar will take care of that! Along with the usual Italian imported BP pistol filing and polishing of the action that they all require, I'll need to add a crown to the muzzle. It don't come crowned. I'll be ordering a Uberti wedge and plunger. The wedge falls out instead of being retained by the screw. A little disappointed in the finish, and I've never liked fake patina on anything, but during the war, many of these were issued without bluing, so not a big deal. Looks like a pewter door or cabinet knob. If you're going to strip the finish anyway, go for it, if you don't want to strip it, I would pass and just get the regular blued version.
