"1860 Army Grip Frame"

Review: The part is great. It is as described. It feels good noticeably different. The screw holes match. The trigger guard is too small for the trigger. Customer service was excellent. Lindsay and Charlie provided descriptions, prices and shipping details so there was no misunderstanding in that regard. The trigger guard for the Alchimista DLX and the Californian are different so I must assume the triggers are different. The bottom of the Alchimista DLX trigger guard is too shallow to allow the trigger of the Californian to clear. The Californian trigger must now be ground or filed down 1/16 to 1/8 to allow full trigger function. At this point, I am reasonably happy with the purchase but a bit disappointed that the assembly parts are listed under GWII SA, which is how the Californian is listed. Perhaps a warning could be included in the description as to what it does and does not fit (?). There is just a little bit more work than I expected.
"The ultimate SAA upgrade!"

Review: Adding an 1860 Army-style grip transforms the Peacemaker. Suddenly your pinky finger has a place to go, and a 3-finger grip beats a 2-fingered grip in every way. Makes you wonder why Colt didn't go this way back in 1873. After a little shortening of the standard trigger the Alchimista grip fits perfectly on my Great Western Cattleman. Neat, crisp checkering on a beautiful piece of walnut.
