Review: Fit and finish are great, shot one ragged hole at 50yds using 35grs of Pyrodex P with Dixie Smith bullet. The only thing it needs is a trigger job as the factory trigger is very heavy, otherwise I have no regrets on buying it. Cleans up easy.

Review: I own and really enjoy shooting this carbine. I have tried several bullet types to less than impressive results. Rifling is 1-60 So I tried a .500 paper patched round ball and wow my 50 yard groups tightened way up. .495 to .500 paper patched round ball shoots great. Also the 12th Kansas Cavalry used Smith Carbines in the infamous Battle of Platte's Bridge Station 1865
