"DLX Californian"

Review: I bought this .45 for it's accuracy potential. About 20 yrs. ago I had to have a genuine Colt .45. Then it cost me about $950. Accuracy was so so. It went back to the factory 3 times. The frame was threaded badly and the barrel actually pointed to the left. The chamber throats were over size, my Pietta measure .453 uniformly. It groups better than my Colt and with tax and shipping from EMF it was only about $650 ! The only thing the Colt tops the Pietta on is the Case colors on the frame. My only regret is I couldn't wait long enough to get to gun with the simulated ivory grips. The checkered walnut grips are very nice. In N.J. the pistol permits are difficult to acquire and only for 90 days. I LIKE this gun!!

Review: I am very pleased with this product. I also own a .45SAA in the same barrel length 5 1/2. The finish of the GW II is superb, the case hardening rival anything Colt makes. They weigh within 2oz of each other. The sights are wide and the firearm is accurate and easy to control. The staff at EMF were great in helping me purchase, I collect Single Actions and Great Western is now my favorite. At 1/3 the cost of my Colt I am amazed. This won’t be my last GW II. I highly recommend this model and EMF.
"Close as it comes to a Colt - Has 4 clicks!"

Review: This is as close as the clones come to a Colt... it still has 4 clicks where the Uberti's have 3. It does have a floating firing pin... but that beats a transfer bar hands down. Beautiful piece. I really enjoy shooting it.
