"1862 Colt Pocket Revolver Replica"

Review: I thought I would be receiving the same revolver my friend showed me. The one received, although at a discount, which was erased by shipping and handling charges, did not have the lanyard ring, barrel top was not marked, Hartford, the grip has no inspector mark, and the only reference to New York Metropolitan Police is on the box and the paperwork. Had I known all of this, I was informed about the lanyard ring no longer being included, I would have purchased a different item. I have not shot it yet but will one day soon. It is heavy, well made, and feels very substantial. I thought the lanyard ring which I was informed about was the only thing different from my friends' item therefore not concerned at the time. Being a native New Yorker who spent many hours in the City of New York and earned several degrees at Columbia University, the NY association was an important decision maker in this purchase. The gun is an excellent replica of Colt's 1862 Police Model revolver.

Review: I love this gun! I really like how Pietta makes guns that are unique and may not be 100% historically correct they offer their customers so many options. If you have large hands, like me, this is a great gun to own if you like the look of the 1862 Police, but can't deal with the original or other brand's small grip size. Well done EMF and Pietta!
"Outstanding!"

Review: It's difficult to believe a company such as this exist in these days. Very timely shipping combined with excellent communication from purchase through delivery. The Pietta brand has raised their bar in quality and overall workmanship.. on par, perhaps even better than their primary longtime competitor. The fit and finish first rate, timing spot on. I expect many years of service and enjoyment from this antique replica. Thanks so much for for making my purchase so worry free! God bless!

Review: Excellent product with only some room for improvement. The black power only label should be moved to the bottom of the barrel,as Uberti does The grip is wider than the frame, behind the trigger, and will have to be downsized on both sides about 1/16 at some point. All else is fitted well. Allen

Review: I was looking for two 36 caliber 1861 navy with a trigger guard and back strap in something other then the brass finish. They are still made of brass but have a great nickel finish. The new Pietta's have very good fit and finish. The barrel and arbor fitting is perfect and the timing was spot on! They also have done a great job on the springs, as they are much easier to cock than a stock Ruger. With the addition of a cap rake and new nipples, these could go from box to competition with no problem.

Review: May not be exact BUT it has great Balance, Beautiful Finish and very accurate! Yes I swapped the trigger guard with a Brass one! I did not want to scratch the Silver! Range time was great made me wish I had a second Cylinder. (Do you have them?) I use it with my 63 Rem 31 cal! (yours too) This Pistol will shoot better than long barreled models because of its great Balance and finish!

Review: Beautiful pistol even if it isn't historically accurate. Love the look and the quality of Pietta's have come a long way. Looking at date code it appears these are BRAND new Fit/finish, lock-up and timing appear flawless. Cylinder gap is perfect, cannot wait to take it to the range. EMF shipped quick and were wonderful to deal with. THANKS!

Review: Using a .375 ball and 15 grains pyrodex 3f my first shot was dead center at 20 yds. Looks good and shoots even better. An empty beer can has no chance at that range. SWEET
