Review: This revolver is great to use on range. Very accurate and it does not jam up like my colt does. Easy to load and handle. I use about 12 grains on range. So economical to fire also.

Review: Everything looks great so far but haven't been to the range yet. As with most piettas it needs some slicing up but could still be a clean the oil off and hit the range gun. Guess it's a Remington navy but pietta just uses the new army frame and barrel and just makes the bore and cylinder with 36 cal holes where an original would have had a smaller frame. Still a great weapon so just buy one. EMF is a great place to purchase but shipping is a little high but that's what it is.

Review: This is a well made gun, fit and finish is great. The only flaw is the grip screw escutcheon on the right grip is set deeper on one side by about 3/16 EMF is great to work with and fast shipping as well.

Review: The Pietta 1858 Sheriff model with its 6.5” barrel is one of the best balancing revolvers I have ever felt. Either in 36 or 44 calibers, you simply can’t go wrong. The 36 caliber revolver is built on the same frame as the 44 so it’s exceptionally strong. If you were contemplating using a cylinder conversion to shoot 38 Special with this revolver, the 36 caliber can’t be beat. This revolver is exceptionally accurate with full power loads and recoil is almost non-existent. The fit and finish are pretty darn good and you have to look real hard to find fault. This gun also has excellent lines making for great eye appeal. For the money, you simply can’t beat this gun. It’s fun to shoot and will give the user a lifetime of service. I have fired both round ball and conicals in the 1858 and this Pietta revolver throws both with exceptional accuracy. Paper cartridges are easy to load as well. If I could make one suggestion for improvement it would be for Pietta to shape the plunger so a conical bullet can be seated without deforming the nose of the bullet. Other than that slight improvement, I can find no fault with the revolver. The 1858 Sheriff is quite a bargain for the money. Good Looking, Great Balance, Great Shooting, Great Fun! AFFORDABLE!

Review: I have several of these Italian replicas and all of them have not disappointed both in workmanship and function. EMF has been great to deal with and they excel at communication with customers.

Review: I ordered the 1858 Belt Pistol from EMF early in Covid and it just now became available. The EMF staff were courteous and helpful. The revolver is tight and has excellent bluing. The grips are slightly proud of the frame in one spot, but only slightly. Frankly, this is a really nice gun and a fantastic bargain.

Review: Shipping was fast. This is a high quality revolver. I wanted it for my Howell .38 Special cylinder which dropped in and worked perfectly.
