Review: After a mix-up on the gun ordered being available, then the substituted gun having the right barrel length. I am thankful for customer service double checking with me. In the end I got a better quality gun than I originally ordered at a good discount.

Review: I’ve been a fan of single action revolvers for over 45 years, especially big bores (44 and over), and have many Ruger’s. I wanted an easier shooting fusil to add to my small collection of .38 calibers that matched the lines, look, and feel of a Colt SAA, so last June I added a 4 ¾” Californian .357 to my collection. The gun is outstanding-lockup and timing are perfect, as are fit and finish. Even the 3 frame screw slots are parallel to each other. I have 275 rounds through it, I’m still working on my handloads, but even with my cataracts and plus 67 year old eyes oranges at 25 yards are destined to become juice. The trigger pull out of the box was very light at 2 lb, but very creepy and gritty. EMF sent me a new trigger and that helped some, but after I easily and lightly polished the sear the trigger pull is now very smooth. I also really like the recoil plate in the frame (like very expensive Colt guns do). This is the reason I chose this EMF model, and it will make this gun more durable than other imported makes that don’t have this feature. POI is spot on too. All 6 cylinder throats are exactly the same size at 0.3570”. The bore and forcing cone are very smooth. If EMF offered this model in .44 Special, I’d buy one today. I highly recommend this firearm. And out-of-the-box Ruger single actions need trigger jobs too. And I don’t work for EMF or Pietta I just appreciate good firearms and you can have 3 of these for the price of one new Colt.

Review: I just bought a pair of these from Buds. If all these are of the quality of the pair I got they are underpriced for sure. These have the best hammer and trigger pull from the factory I have ever seen. The timing is perfect hundreds of shots later and the cylinders still have no Mark's. I have had alot of saa revolvers even some at twice the price and these are the best out of box I have ever got.
