Review: Some styles are timeless and such is the case with the 1860 Colt. This gun looks as good now as it did when it was built in the 19th century. This Pietta is a beautiful piece! Fit and finish are great and the finish is period correct. EMF was great to work with. Friendly folks and fast shipping. You can do business with EMF with confidence.

Review: Fit and finish are very good. Timing is very good. Loading lever latch locks up good. My only complaint is the design choice that Pietta made with the front sight and it's impact on point of aim. The front sight looks like it was cut down lower than other brands of the same revolver. The point of impact at 25 yards is 7 - 10 inches above point of aim. All of my other belt pistols, including a Pietta 51 Navy, will hit 2 - 4 inches above point of aim at 25 yards. Review: Whatever quality issues of the past one may have heard, these Pietta made revolvers are extremely well made today. Though one can be purchased from other sources, EMF has earned my business. A very high quality product with personal and professional service via email as well as by phone. Customer service this good is rarely encountered today. I am sold on the product and the company.

Review: I received mine a couple weeks ago but was new to the cap and ball game. One thing you need to keep in mind is the other things that go along with the sport, powder, balls, caps, wads, powder flask, also had to order a brass funnel to fill it with as I didn’t know the top didn’t screw off. Just trying to help the other newbies prepare better than I did. As for the gun I still haven’t shot it but with fall coming my work should slow down and I have two pounds of powder to have fun with.
