Review: Beautiful fit and finish on this Pietta 1858 Sheriff. The grips are very nice. The cylinder chambers were a little larger diameter than my old Pietta 1858 Army that I bought 15 years ago. .454 is the smallest ball you can use and get a nice lead ring shaved off. So I went up to the .457 ball . Not hard to load and shot great using 25 grains of 3F Triple 7. Also did very well with 25 grains of real BP 3F. I am very happy with this purchase. Review: This a beautiful gun! I own several Pietta guns and the quality is top notch with smooth actions and are very accurate. My only cause for concern was the $44.00 cost for shipping. That seems higher than necessary but I accepted it so the gun earned 5 stars.

Review: Pietta has really stepped up there quality. In my opinion they have past Uberti in quality and functionality. I couldn't be more impressed with the 1858 CH Sheriff. The Case Hardened Steel in the sun light is amazing. EMF made my purchase even better with there fast shipping, excellent communication and customer support.

Review: I ordered this revolver a couple of months ago and I was totally amazed by the quality of this piece. It is drop dead gorgeous and the action is smooth as silk. I have many other BP revolvers and none have been the quality of this piece. Pietta really did a nice job on this one . I definetly will purchase more guns made by this manufacturer. They are top quality.
